The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently reduced our star rating in the staffing category due to a clerical error when submitting data and this caused our submission to be non-compliant with Medicare’s requirements, resulting in a deficiency. CMS uses several criteria to determine the overall star rating for nursing homes, providing a comprehensive view of a facility’s performance. This will adjust our overall rating for 90 days, from 5-stars to 3-stars. Cornwall Manor has always staffed our health center well above state and federal standards, which shows our commitment to providing exceptional care and enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
