Located in the Gateway Lounge, the Snack Bar is also open Monday-Saturday, all day and evening. A variety of breakfast, light fare items (salads/sandwiches) and beverages are available for purchase.

RESERVATIONS

Please call 717-675-1586 to make reservations for the Monday, Wednesday and Friday evening meals, Sunday noon meal and for parties of 6 or more.

MEAL DELIVERY

Requests for meal delivery may be made to the Freeman Dining Room at 717-675-1586. Campus Food Service offers a meal delivery service. Please call the Freeman Dining Room at 717-675-1586 and order any item from the Manor Café/Freeman Dining Room menu. Meals will be delivered between 11:30 AM and 1 PM for a $3 fee. For more information about the dining services, please contact the Campus Food Service Supervisor at 717-675-1529.

Services the Buckingham Campus, Woods Campus and Cornwall area trips.

Schedule:
Monday-Friday from 8:15 AM-4:00 PM
Saturday from 8:15 AM-2:00 PM
Sunday from 10:15 AM-4:30 PM

Campus transportation is also available before and after the schedule listed above by reservation.

 

LEBANON AREA TRANSPORTATION

(Cornwall Manor Mini Bus) services many of the popular Lebanon area shopping centers, grocery stores, restaurants and doctors offices.

Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-4:00 PM with four departures (8:30 AM, 10:10 AM, 12:30 PM and 2:10 PM)
Saturday from 9:30 AM-2:00 PM with two departures (10:10 AM and 12:30 PM)
Sunday from 10:15 AM-4:30 PM with two departures (10:30 AM and 2:30 PM)

Transportation to a medical appointment beyond the Lebanon Area Transportation route please contact the Front Desk at 717-273-2647 to make arrangements.

Transportation for individualized services such as trips to airports, train stations, recreational trips and destinations not available on the mini bus route, please contact the Transportation Department at 717-274-8050.

 

CORNWALL MANOR SOCIETY

The Cornwall Manor Society, organized in October 1950, is an auxiliary group that supports Cornwall Manor Retirement Community. This volunteer group consists of Cornwall Manor residents and individuals from the surrounding community.

The Society’s mission is to support the ministry of Cornwall Manor by building relationships both on and off campus, by providing opportunities for volunteers to bring services and programs to Corson Hall and Health Center residents and by raising funds for Benevolent Care.

Four Cornwall Manor Society meetings are held annually – 2024 meeting dates are March 21, June 20, September 19 and November 21.

RESIDENTS’ ASSOCIATION

The Cornwall Manor Residents’ Association was formed in the Fall of 1978 and is comprised of all residents of Cornwall Manor. The Association provides a forum for the residents to discuss, review, recommend, and consider matters of mutual interest related to living at Cornwall Manor. It enables residents to participate in policy making on matters affecting their interests, well-being, and convenience. It provides information to the residents, and encourages individuals to become active in its operation. The general membership meets four times a year – 2024 meetings will be held in Freeman Auditorium at 2 PM on January 17, April 17, July 17 and October 16.

Residents’ Association Committees include Resident Representatives, Building & Grounds, Health Services, Wellness, Garden & Greenhouse, Dining Services, Tree, Activities, and Communications.

SUPPORT GROUPS

The SHARE Bereavement Group meets the first Wednesday of each month at 2 PM in the Boiler House (meeting room between the Greenhouses).

The Hearing Loss Support Group meets the fourth Tuesday of January, March, May, September and October at 2 PM in Freeman Auditorium.

The Hearing Care Center is available on the first and third Wednesdays from 8:30 AM-12 PM in the CMTV Room (located within the Laurel Place Activity Room). Audiologist Linda Gonya-Hartman holds office hours at Cornwall Manor.

The Sight Loss Support Group meets the first Thursday of February, April, June, August, October and December at 2 PM in the Laurel Place Lounge (2nd floor).

The Parkinson’s Support Group meets the fourth Monday of every month except June, July and December at 2 PM in Freeman Auditorium.

SUPPORT DEVICES

Assistive Listening Devices – Specifically designed for use with the Chapel and Freeman Auditorium Sound Systems. Contact Resident Services at 717-675-1523.

OPTILEC Magnifying Machine – available for all resident use and is located in the Gateway Lounge, Courtyard level of Corson Hall and the third floor of Laurel Place.

Wheelchair Lift – Cornwall Manor has several vehicles equipped with a wheelchair lift and can accommodate a varied number of wheelchairs or motorized carts. Contact the Front Desk at 717-274-8050.

Hearing Loop – Hearing Loops are available in Bradley Lounge, Health Center Community Room, Laurel Place Theater Room and Freeman Auditorium. A hearing loop is a wire the circles a room and is connected to a sound system. The loop transmits the sound electromagnetically. The electromagnetic signal is then picked up by the telecoil in the hearing aid or cochlear implant to activate the telecoil.

Information Hotline – 717-272-1600: Provides recorded updates during power outages, extreme weather or other unusual occurrences.

Standby Cell Phone – 717-679-3311 – this emergency number is only monitored when Cornwall Manor’s landline phones are out of service.
