Cornwall Manor’s Skilled Nursing Facility Receives Deficiency-Free Inspection
The annual Pennsylvania Department of Health inspection that took place in August at Cornwall Manor’s Skilled Nursing Facility resulted in a deficiency-free inspection.
Cornwall Manor also received two consecutive deficiency-free surveys in 2019 and 2020. The unannounced and onsite inspection closely examines resident care and services.
Lee Stickler, Cornwall Manor President & CEO stated, “these results are truly outstanding and reflect the dedication and commitment of our team members. We are proud of the quality of care and services our team delivers every day and this is a wonderful acknowledgement by the state surveyors that reinforces our beliefs. A team of three state surveyors performed the unannounced survey recently over the course of three days by thoroughly examining every facet of our Health Center’s operations in all departments. To achieve such results in the third year of a pandemic is truly a testament to our amazing team and should be a source of comfort and reassurance to our residents and their families.”
Cornwall Manor is committed to achieving excellence in the quality of care and services provided to our residents. Cornwall Manor’s Health Center is also the recipient of a 5-Star rating from the Federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid and is a participating organization in LeadingAge’s “Quality First” program, which is a national organization of providers of senior housing and services. Cornwall Manor is also certified by Vohra Wound Physicians as a Center of Excellence for Wound Management. Only 10% of Vohra’s skilled nursing facility partners have qualified for this annual certification.
Minnie Strickler, Vice President of Health Services, shared “to care for those who once cared for us is one of the highest honors. I am very proud of all the Health Center team members who show their dedication, compassion and commitment everyday to our residents. I am incredibly proud of this team.”
