Pelvic floor physical therapy is offered onsite at Cornwall Manor! This area of physical therapy involves the assessment and treatment of pelvic related pain and dysfunction including bladder, bowel and sexual dysfunction and pain. Treatments are customized for you in a convenient, private, comfortable environment in the outpatient and health center facilities. Deborah McKim, PT, DPT, MTC has specialized training in treating pelvic floor dysfunction since 1999. She has gained much of this training from Johns Hopkins and the Herman and Wallace Institute and is currently on faculty with Evidence in Motion educating and instructing in the Pelvic Floor Certification program.
Are you experiencing Pelvic Floor Dysfunction?
- Urinary and/or fecal urgency or leakage
- Voiding more than 8-10 times a day
- Voiding more than two times a night
- Experiencing incomplete bowel or bladder emptying
- Chronic constipation
- Sexual dysfunction
- Pain or discomfort in your pelvis, lower abdomen, tailbone, and /or genital region
- Loss of gas beyond your control
- Feeling of pressure, heaviness, or dullness in your abdomen or pelvis
