CNA Training Program

Certified nursing assistants are an integral part of the health care team at any facility, especially here at Cornwall Manor. Also called nurses’ aides, a career as a CNA is a rewarding profession that allows you to build relationships and strong bonds with the  residents whom you care for. This job can be demanding, as it requires you to be a constant in the lives of your residents, but it’s also quite rewarding. Elderly residents can have difficulties with even common daily tasks, like bathing and feeding. As you help them complete these activities, you’ll feel a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Cornwall Manor’s Nursing Assistant Training program is designed to help you prepare to become a CNA, while at the same time giving you valuable, hands-on experience in this field.

What Is Cornwall Manor’s Nursing Assistant Training Program?

Our program is specifically designed for nursing assistants who intend to work at Cornwall Manor. Not only does it prepare you for the federally mandated nursing assistant certification exam, but it also allows you to experience first-hand what it’s like to work with older adults.

The program lasts for 18 days, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. for classroom hours. Clinical hours are 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.; and is held at various times throughout the year. Click here to find out when the next session begins.
