Exciting progress continues at 202 Creek Drive!

This week, flooring installation is underway, bringing the home one step closer to completion and giving each room a more finished look and feel. It's always exciting to see these interior details come together and transform the space.

Looking ahead to next week, cabinet installation is scheduled to begin. Once the cabinets are in place, the kitchen and bathrooms will really start to take shape, adding both functionality and style to the home.

Excitement is building at Bistro 1949! 🎉

As part of our soft opening, residents had the opportunity to experience our beautiful new dining venue at The Clubhouse at The Woods, with participants selected through a special lottery drawing. Named in honor of our founding year, Bistro 1949 offers delicious dining in a stunning setting overlooking the pond and the Rail Trail.

We are thrilled to begin welcoming residents to this inviting new gathering place and look forward to creating many wonderful memories here.

Yesterday was a memorable day as we celebrated the ribbon cutting and grand opening of the Clubhouse at The Woods!

Cornwall Manor's Trailside Organic Farm is making an impact far beyond our campus! 🌱

Fresh, USDA-certified organic produce grown at the farm helps nourish residents with healthy, farm-to-table meals while also supporting local food pantries through produce donations. The farm, a unique partnership with Rodale Institute, continues to demonstrate how sustainable agriculture, wellness, and community service can grow together.

💦🏐 Water Volleyball Rematch Brings the Heat! 🏐💦

There was plenty of action, laughter and friendly smack talk in the pool today as the Cornwall Crushers (resident team) faced off against President McConnell's staff team in a highly anticipated three-game rematch.

The Crushers put up a strong fight with impressive serves and great teamwork, but the staff team came ready to make a statement. After three exciting games, the staff squad splashed their way to victory and claimed the bragging rights!

🦌💚 A sweet wildlife moment in The Pines at The Woods!

Recently, a mama deer and her baby were spotted visiting The Pines neighborhood at Cornwall Manor. The little one decided it was the perfect place for an afternoon nap, resting peacefully among the beauty of nature. As attentive mothers do, mama wandered off for a bit and later returned to check on her baby before they continued on their way together.

Encounters like this are a wonderful reminder of the natural beauty that surrounds us at Cornwall Manor. From wooded trails and peaceful green spaces to the wildlife that calls our campus home, every day brings opportunities to connect with nature and appreciate the serenity of our environment.

Looking for a unique find, a great bargain, or a way to support a meaningful cause? Stop by the Treasure Trove, Cornwall Manor's on-campus thrift shop, open Wednesdays from 12 to 4 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM.

For decades, the Treasure Trove has been a cherished part of life at Cornwall Manor. Operated entirely by a dedicated team of more than 40 volunteers and supported by the Cornwall Manor Society, the shop offers an ever-changing selection of clothing, accessories, books, household items and other special treasures.

More than just a thrift store, the Treasure Trove helps support residents in personal care, the Health Center and benevolent care programs. It also provides a convenient way for residents and staff to donate items when downsizing or transitioning in care, giving those items a second life while benefiting the community.

Whether you're a resident, employee, or community member, the Treasure Trove welcomes you to shop, browse, and connect. Every purchase helps make a difference!

This fun and engaging session challenged both brain and body through a variety of brain-boosting exercises designed to improve coordination, cognitive function, and overall wellness. Participants enjoyed light exercise, lots of laughter, and the opportunity to stay mentally and physically active in a supportive environment.

Every Friday, the Trailside Organic Farm Market brings the bounty of our USDA-certified organic farm straight to residents and team members. Located on Cornwall Manor's Woods Campus, Trailside Organic Farm provides fresh, seasonal produce grown just steps from the market.

The market is more than a place to shop—it's an opportunity for residents to get involved. From harvesting produce and assisting at the market to creating beautiful flower bouquets that are sold each week, resident volunteers play an important role in making the farm a success.

Trailside Organic Farm offers meaningful opportunities to connect with nature, learn new skills, build friendships and support healthy living—all while sharing the fruits of their labor with the community.🍅🥒🌽💐

Yesterday, Cornwall Manor treated our amazing staff to a special lunch from The Lancaster Burger Truck as a small thank you for all they do each day.

From delicious burgers, crispy cut fries and milkshakes to time spent together with coworkers, it was a wonderful way to show our appreciation for the dedication, compassion and hard work our team brings to our community every day.

🚂 A Once-in-a-Lifetime Sight in Lebanon! 🚂

Our residents enjoyed an unforgettable experience as they gathered to watch the legendary Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4014 roll through Lebanon. Smiles, waves, and plenty of cameras captured this historic moment as one of America's most famous steam locomotives made its way through Pennsylvania.

Did you know? Big Boy No. 4014 is the world’s largest operating steam locomotive, measuring 133 feet long and weighing more than 1.2 million pounds. Built in 1941 to help haul heavy freight during World War II, it traveled more than one million miles before retiring in 1961. After an extensive restoration, it returned to service in 2019 and remains the only operational Big Boy locomotive in existence today.

Seeing this engineering marvel pass through our community was more than just watching a train—it was witnessing a living piece of American history. We were thrilled to share this special day with our residents as they connected with memories of the past and created new ones together.
