🎉 Celebrating Two Incredible Careers at CM! 🎉

This week, we honor two beloved team members as they begin their well-earned retirements:

💐 Deb Tice, our warm and welcoming Front Desk Receptionist, is retiring August 29, 2025. Deb began her journey at CM in August 2003 in Dining Services and transitioned to the Front Desk in June 2021, where her kindness and dedication have made a lasting impact.

🚐 Bill Dohner, our dependable and friendly Campus Driver, is retiring August 31, 2025. Bill joined CM in October 2017, and has been a steady presence, helping residents get where they need to go with care and a smile.

Please join us in thanking Deb and Bill for their years of service and wishing them joy and relaxation in this next chapter! 💛

Lisa Thome, RN Unit Manager in the Health Center, retired after 8 years and 11 months of compassionate care and leadership. Her dedication to our residents and her team has left a lasting legacy.

Sandy Carpenter, dedicated Campus Housekeeper, retired after 9 years and 5 months of keeping our spaces welcoming and bright. Her kindness and attention to detail made a difference every single day.

The Manor Shoppe is having an End of Summer Sale with 30% off special summer items. The sale begins on Tuesday, September 2 and ends on Saturday, September 6. Come early to get the best selection.

Thanks to our bargain hunting grocery shopper, Jenelle Hershock, we now have eggs. Currently priced at $3/dozen, well below the price in some grocery stores, the eggs have a sell buy date of early October. Pricing will vary as the prices change in the “real world” and we may not always have them, so don’t delay.

The Shoppe will be closed on Monday, September 1 for Labor Day. On other Mondays, the Shoppe is open from 9 AM to 3 PM; on Tuesdays through Friday from 9 AM to 1 PM, and on Saturday from 11 AM to 1 PM. Located in Freeman Community Center, the Manor Shoppe is an activity of the Cornwall Manor Society. All profits from your purchases benefit Benevolent Care.

Yesterday, Cornwall Manor proudly awarded five $5,000 scholarships through the Ralph L. Weik Scholarship Fund to five individuals—Rhiannon, Jesse, Emma, Katrina and Changelis—who are pursuing higher education.

This scholarship, established in 1991 to honor Ralph Weik’s 27 years of dedicated service in maintenance, continues to reflect our deep commitment to lifelong learning and personal development.
