April has been a month filled with vibrant activities and celebrations in our community. We kicked off the month with a Men's Breakfast, where residents gather to enjoy a hearty meal and an informational program.
Throughout April, we recognized the numerous valuable contributions of our occupational therapists during Occupational Therapy Recognition Month, highlighting their dedication to improving the quality of life for our residents.
The CM Players, a new segment of Artful Connections delighted us with a performance of “Fractured Fairytales,” showcasing their talent and bringing joy to all who attended.
Administrative Professionals Day was a special occasion to honor the hard-working individuals who keep our community running smoothly.
Happy Hour events provided a relaxing atmosphere for residents to unwind and socialize. The Novel-Teas Book Club meets in the historic Buckingham Mansion, offering a cozy setting for book lovers to discuss their latest reads over a cup of tea.
We celebrated resident anniversaries, honored retiring employees and welcomed new residents, reflecting on the past and looking forward to the future.
The Intermediate Unit 13 Spring Student Bazaar showcased the creativity of local students, with handmade crafts and artwork on display. Our Senior Scams Program educated residents on how to protect themselves from common scams targeting seniors.
Earth Day was marked with several activities for both residents and employees. Residents planted additional trees on our beautiful, wooded campus and employees enjoyed a “planting party” receiving a pollinator seedling grown at our onsite Trailside Organic Farm.
Corson Hall Personal Care residents made and delivered dog treats to the dogs at the Humane Society and decorated Easter eggs using Cool Whip and food coloring.
Lebanon Valley College Environmental Science students visited our farm, learning about organic farming and environmental conservation.
We hosted the LeadingAge PA Fellows in Leadership Class, which continues to empower participants with valuable skills and knowledge. The 2024-2025 concert series concluded with a captivating handbell performance, leaving us with beautiful melodies to cherish.
We also celebrated our valued volunteers, whose dedication and hard work continue to make a significant impact on our community. Special appreciation is extended to the 400 volunteers who contributed over 24,000 hours of service in 2024.
Finally, we wrapped up the month with a special visit by a baby lamb to the Health Center and preparation is underway for the Blooms & More Festival. April has truly been a month of learning, celebration and community spirit.
