A Heartfelt Connection: Missy Loy’s Impact at Cornwall Manor

Since 2014, Missy Loy has been a bright and familiar face at Cornwall Manor, bringing warmth, kindness, and a genuine love for people to her role in the Manor Café. Though it was her first job in food service, Missy quickly found her rhythm—preparing breakfast, making coffee, setting up functions, stocking supplies and fridges, handling to-go lunch orders, and working the counter with ease and enthusiasm. Her favorite part of the job, however, isn’t the tasks—it’s the residents.

Missy thrives on the daily interactions with residents, forming meaningful connections that make her work deeply rewarding. She’s most touched by the appreciation she receives, which she says makes her day and fills her heart. One moment she’ll never forget was when a new resident, overwhelmed and emotional, asked for a cup of coffee with tears in her eyes. Missy not only brought her the coffee but sat down to chat, offering comfort and companionship. That simple act of kindness made a lasting impact—the resident still thanks Missy every day.

Outside of work, Missy enjoys a rich and creative life. She lives in South Lebanon Township with her husband Chris and their beloved Pitbull, Diesel. She’s a proud mother of two daughters and grandmother to three grandchildren—two boys and one girl. Her hobbies reflect her vibrant personality: she loves gardening (especially Shasta daisies and sunflowers), relaxing on her deck with a glass of wine, browsing flea markets and antique shops, crafting, and shopping at Bath & Body Works. She also enjoys sweet treats and she absolutely loves the beach.

Missy’s presence at Cornwall Manor goes far beyond her job description. She brings joy, comfort and a sense of community to everyone she meets. Her story is a beautiful reminder that small gestures can have a big impact—and that appreciation, kindness and connection are at the heart of what makes Cornwall Manor so special.
