Staff Spotlight: From Spreadsheets to Skydiving, Meet Tony Meck

Tony grew up in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, where his interest in numbers and problem-solving first took root. While attending Mechanicsburg High School, a career development class introduced him to accounting. He quickly discovered that the subject combined his love of math with a structured, logical approach to solving real-world problems. That early spark led him to pursue both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting at Penn State University, graduating in 2018. He sat for the CPA exam the following year, solidifying his path in the financial world.
As Controller at Cornwall Manor, Tony oversees the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. His role includes reviewing reconciliations, managing the year-end audit and tax return and monitoring investment reports. But for Tony, accounting is more than just numbers—it’s about making sure everything works together seamlessly. “I enjoy the process,” he says. “There’s a rhythm to it, and when everything aligns, it’s incredibly satisfying.” He also values the people he works with, noting that the collaborative environment at Cornwall Manor makes his job even more rewarding.
Tony lives in South Lebanon Township with his wife, Erika, and their newborn daughter, Olivia, who was born just seven weeks ago. Tony and Erika’s story began in high school—they were sweethearts who continued their journey together at Penn State. Today, they share a home filled with love, laughter and the occasional bark from Millie, their energetic Bernadoodle. The couple are avid Penn State football fans, often spending weekends cheering on the Nittany Lions.
Outside of work, Tony is a man of many interests. He’s passionate about the outdoors, enjoying hiking, hunting, fishing, golf and beach trips whenever he gets the chance. One of his favorite destinations is Charleston, South Carolina, a city he holds close to his heart—it’s where he proposed to Erika. He’s drawn to Charleston’s rich history and Southern charm, which aligns perfectly with his lifelong fascination with World War II history.
Tony’s birthday, June 6, coincides with the anniversary of D-Day, a connection that has always felt meaningful to him. Growing up near Gettysburg, he often visited the historic battlefield, deepening his appreciation for the sacrifices made during the Civil War and U.S. Military history. Three of his great grandparents both served in WWII and their stories helped shape his interest in the era. In recent years, Tony has traveled to Europe, exploring historical sites and immersing himself in the stories that have long captivated him.
At home, Tony is the family chef. He enjoys cooking Italian dishes and grilling—especially during football season. But he’s not just a culinary enthusiast; he’s also a thrill seeker. From skydiving and zip lining to bungee jumping, Tony embraces adventure with open arms. His zest for life and curiosity about the world make him a dynamic and engaging presence both at work and in his personal life.
We’re proud to spotlight Tony Meck—a dedicated professional, a loving husband and father, and a spirited adventurer. His blend of precision, passion and personality makes him a valued member of the Cornwall Manor family.
