Health Services at Cornwall Manor

February 2018

The philosophy of Health and Wellness at Cornwall Manor is based on the principle that each resident is entitled to enjoy and maintain the highest level of physical, mental, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual health and wellness possible. It is Cornwall Manor’s intention to accomplish this by offering comprehensive Health Services including an onsite Visiting Physicians Office, Home Health Care, onsite therapy services, personal care and skilled nursing care.

Cornwall Manor’s Visiting Physicians Office (VPO) is an essential piece of the campus health services offered. Individuals who live at Cornwall Manor have access to the VPO, which includes our campus nurse, several physicians and medical director, and handles a variety of medical services. As part of Cornwall Manor’s Campus Renovations, the Visiting Physicians Office was relocated in February 2018 to the second floor of the Wellness Center and now features increased number of exam rooms allowing it to expand services offered to Cornwall Manor’s residents. The campus renovation project also will incorporate an onsite pharmacy located in the Wellness Center.

Cornwall Manor’s Campus Nurse, Gail Helm, LPN, coordinates and supervises health services for campus residents. Gail is responsible to respond to emergency calls from campus residents, oversees discharge orders of campus residents leaving the hospital or Cornwall Manor’s Health Center by monitoring their progress and making sure that they have medications needed and follow-up appointments have been scheduled. She is a vital link between residents, families, physicians and the Cornwall Manor Health Services staff.

When she is in the office, she also can see residents for vital sign checks, blood pressure screenings, immunizations, lab tests, wound dressings, injections and she assists the physicians who hold office hours at Cornwall Manor’s VPO including several physicians from Lebanon Internal Medicine Associates (LIMA) and Wellspan/Good Samaritan.  Dr. Anne B. Hayes from Lebanon Internal Medicine Associates (LIMA) is Cornwall Manor’s Medical Director.

The VPO also offers pharmacy services six days a week, with a one-day turnaround time for routine medications.

The VPO is open seven days a week, from 8 AM to 4 PM. Working with Cornwall Manor’s Campus Nurse, Gail Helm, LPN, is Linda Field, LPN.
